Food:

I have a new favorite Vermont restaurant. It's called Verdé and features a dessert called the Late Night Breakfast - a waffle topped with buttermilk-bacon ice cream. Need I say more?

Not all revolving restaurants have to be cheesy. Le Tour de Ville's ever-changing international buffet taught me that even when rotating and served out of chafing dishes, a great chef can excel.

I care more about regional junk food than the average person, but after eating at the top three Plattsburgh red hot joints in three hours, I think I'm a true authority.

I have my own Ben and Jerry's flavor. It's called Alice's Adventures in Curryland. Read how I made it.

Want to make basil paper? Cantaloupe caviar? Here's how.

Many food writers have covered Curtis Tuff and his famous ribs. My story is the best. See for yourself.

Heading to Montreal? Here's my guide to Chinatown.

I convinced my co-workers to share a whole pig with me. I met the pig and butchered it myself. Best pork I ever tasted.

I went to a topless diner in Montreal. Seven Days readers couldn't get enough. I think this may be my legacy in Vermont.

I never knew or cared at all about Judaism or Jewish food. Until James started making fun of me for it - and encouraging me to learn.

One thing that keeps my heart beating in Vermont? Our over-representation of Bosnian restaurants. An ode to my great love.

Spruce beer? Meat pies bursting with the remains of half a dozen different game animals? That meal could only be had in early eighteenth century Quebec, or Montreal theme restaurant, Cabaret du Roy.

MULTIMEDIA:

I learn how two suckling pigs become headcheese with Chef Rogan Lechthaler at Verdé restaurant in Stratton.

Watch me and Primal Ice Cream Therapist Peter Lind make my own Ben and Jerry's flavor, Alice in Curryland.

Watch me and my pal Chef Mark Timms make "super-sexy" molecular creations.

This is the first episode of my new internet TV series, Bite Club TV, a part of the 7 Nights website. Here, my fellow food writer, Suzanne Podhaizer and I see what's good at the Burlington Winter Farmers' Market.

My boyfriend, voice actor, James Blanchard and I collaborated on this slideshow of the stones at Barre, VT's Hope Cemetery. The monuments are by turns moving and hilarious. It is one of my favorite places in the world.

I push my massive neuroses to the limit on ten rides at the Champlain Valley Fair in this video by Jon Taylor .

Here is the accompanying article, a cover story.

Watch me and James eat everything in sight on Burlington, VT's pedestrian mall in this video by Eva Sollberger.

ETCETERA:

Like watching TV in bed? How about a big-screen movie? James and I visited the Fairlee Motel & Drive-in Theater to do just that.

My grandma and I hopped on the bus with 30 Vermont seniors for a day at the Casino Montréal. I almost got arrested for trying to take pictures. A day to treasure forever.

This is the most-viewed story ever on the Seven Days site. Holy Headshot is a book of embarrassing headshots and resumes. A VT actor is featured, R.W. Martin. Laugh, so you do not cry.

The subhead was, "From weddings to digital rectal exams, a local performer does it all." What else do you need to know to make you read this cover story about Bob Bolyard?

While I was getting allergy testing, I got a phone call from work: I had to spend the day stalking Karl Lagerfeld on the Champlain Islands. This is the result.

A lifelong cemetery obsessive, writing a survey of my 10 favorite in Vermont was a major culmination. I am still aglow.

I always wondered what happened to people who died in the frozen Vermont winter. Here's the answer.

I wrote a news story! Don't get too excited. It's about cystic fibrosis and video games. More my usual bag.

Not many Vermont actors can make a living at it. Rick Ames is one of them, but the story is ever-so-much stranger than it sounds.

I win pub quiz every week. Finally, I get to brag about it in print
